022 [Action] Backdated to the 6th
[Happy Birthday, Trafalgar Law. You’ve managed to survive to the ripe old age of twenty seven.
The thought is sardonic in the morning as he shaves and prepares for the day. There’s a couple of silvery blue-gray hairs present in the mirror this morning; easily covered by the hat he always wears. Honestly he never thought he’d live long enough to see them and the emotions are mixed. Law doesn’t allow himself to dwell on them… his fiance’s waiting for his turn. He wonders if he’s in for a surprise later, and that sparks some anticipation in him, though it quickly dulls after the bright, initial flare.
The face that stares back from the mirror as he cleans out all his whiskers in the sink is quiet and subdued. Well… after everything… he supposes that’s normal. Even if it’s now been remarked on many times that he barely smiles these days and Itachi nets most of those. It’s normal. It’s to be expected.
It’s what it is.
The pirate has business to attend to. He looks for Raine Sage to inform her of the information found during the mission that didn’t come up on the locked network. If he can’t find her, Albert will do just as well. Katara he looks for specifically to tell her in person that he’s getting married. Not to mention he wants to just spend time around family for a while. Other people are not avoided, but not precisely sought.
He does keep an eye out for Luke and Marco though. As well as Sasuke. Gai. Nagato. Konan. Various different reasons there, but he wouldn’t mind talking to them.
However the day goes, the close will find him waiting for Itachi silently on their couch. He’s holding a beach ball sized Room, and there’s a sense his Haki’s active. Not terribly out of the ordinary except for the leaf stuck to his forehead and a slow smile, perhaps the first of the day. Success in balancing the three arts finally.
It’s not much, but it’s something. He’ll take it.]

[action]
Am now.
[action]
By a blind man.]
[action]
Law hums a little more as he side steps and the Room expands instinctively. The leaf stays firmly on his head, so far. One kunai embeds itself in the wall and thank goodness for Auto Repair.
The other? Is snatched out of the air as the pirate settles into position. It's not an aggressive stance... simply one that will allow him to be ready and react (and defend) from whatever Itachi throws at him next.]
So next time spend less time primping in bathroom - got it.
[Just bantering teasingly back. Which is not to say he isn't taking it seriously - he is and that's obvious - but he enjoys being put on his toes time to time.]
[action]
[action]
... a log.
(Yes, yes, he knows. He has to clean it up later.)
Now where has he gone?]
Although maybe I should have spent longer? Didn't get all the leaves off me, after all.
[... the greenhouse. But do you trust the direction of the voice.
Law, after all, might be throwing it thanks to Kipinn's magic.
Time for your favorite game. Hunt the pirate.]
[action]
If you're not in the general vicinity, then I'm afraid I can't tell if you're still keeping everything active.
[And he'll ask the pirate to start again.]
[action]
It's active. [... and his face is appearing at one of the open windows briefly. Leaf's still there. Thus his earlier crack.] Let's not destroy the house though.
[action]
Itachi would rather save his energy for now. Who knows when he might need it.
The last kunai is tossed backwards over his shoulder toward the window.]
How is your stamina?
[action]
It's holding out so far.
[Not tired yet, but he will be... juggling these three things is taxing on his mental energies, especially with Itachi's distractions. His physical energies too.
...
Need his energy, yes. Given how their birthdays usually go.]
[action]
Then he motions for Law to come closer with one hand. No more kunai. The pirate had best get himself back through that window.]
[action]
The Room doesn't drop as he steps over them, leaving the remaining kunai on the coffee table as he comes closer and stops just out of reach.]
Mmm?
[action]
[It's stated bluntly, as a clone of his appears behind Law to wrap his arms around the pirate's waist.]
[action]
... woah. Woah - that clone and those implications. He's going to lean into that instinctively, while the look on his face? Congratulations, your fiance looks like he short circuited in all the best ways as he struggles to find his tongue.
(And the leaf stays put on his head.)
Luckiest damn pirate ever.]
Okay.
[That's coming up more of a gasp than he likes, but nnngh. Goddamnit, how does he turn a simple blunt statement into something like that?]
Should I keep up what I'm doing now?
[Keeping the Room, the Haki, and the chakra control active. Itachi might also be aiming to put those to the ultimate test.]
[action]
Drop it.
[He's done very well, anyway.
The clone vanishes, and Itachi starts walking toward the stairs. He hasn't forgotten about the pirate's birthday, and he still means to show him that.]
[action]
[Said as the Room shatters, his arms turn to their normal colour, and the leaf flutters to the floor. Law follows, a curious and intrigued expression on his face.
Now what does his partner have in mind?
He just can't wait to find out.]
[action]
Itachi says nothing else as he heads up the stairs, and there's nothing along the way (or even in the room once they arrive) that's out of the ordinary. He might very well just be offering nothing more than the obvious.]
[action]
As it is, he peers around as they go upstairs and into their room. Nope, nope, nope. Which means the present is hidden is some manner (out of sight, under genjutsu...) or the act itself is the present. Which he's perfectly content with. This could go all sorts of places, and his imagination is happily throwing out possibilities.]
Well, I'm up here now. [Law smiles winsomely as he steps forward, looking to wrap his arms around Itachi and run his fingers through his fiance's hair a little.] You had something in mind?
[Then he leans forward to brush his lips against the shell of Itachi's ear.]
[action]
Itachi doesn't move from where he's standing as the crows deposit a dark silk house robe on the bed. It's nothing Law doesn't already have, save that it has his pirate logo embroidered in gold on the back of it and the outline of several crows around the base and cuffs.
As soon as they've arrived, the birds depart. He can shut the window when he gets around to it.]
...Perhaps.
[action]
A crow?
... a whole lot of crows. Law watches stunned at first, then as it dawns on him what's going on, his face lights up as it hasn't since the night of their engagement.
Pulling out all the stops, huh? He owes Itachi's flock a good feeding, even though they aren't Itachi's. They tend to hang around the house anyway.
And Itachi. He owes the ninja some special thanks. He obviously went through some trouble to set this up. Make it special.
Going to pull the man closer now.]
The perfect thing in mind. [He needed that, he thinks. ... after everything.] Thank you.
[action]
[But he'd done his best. He leans into his fiance's grip, having finished this particular performance.]
[action]
Do you want to see it on me?
[There's a hint of suggestiveness as he winds a lock of hair around a finger. Because it'd be best modelled if the robe was the only article of clothing on him.]
[action]
[He knows they are. This isn't the first time he's gotten clothing for Law, after all. But it's as good of an excuse as any.
Not that he really needs one.]
