[Hello Luceti. You’re greeted by the sound of a journal opening and muttering. And in the far background, rustling. Like something is squirming around in the distance - wrapping, twining, growing.

We might have a problem here.]



Is there anyone in the village with extensive knowledge of fairy tales? We have a situation on our hands we could use some advice dealing with. [Or maybe even a rescue, but Law’s pride keeps him from saying that much - for now.]



Thorns. [Katara’s voice piped in.] Lots and lots of thorns. They’re growing and overtaking the house, and we’re not sure why.



We think they’re connected to a kidnapping effect. The lady affected has been in an unnaturally deep sleep for days and nothing seems to wake her. [Nothing. Not even beer bottles perched on her head. 8|a ] Has anyone heard of anything like this?

Thorns...? [Perhaps it had been a long while since she had last gone up that side of the village. At least they seem to have the fairy-tale part of it worked out.] Aside from the sleepiness, is there anything else wrong with her?

Aa, no. [Aside from we needed to give her IVs so she wouldn't get dehydrated and malnourished.]

It's good that both you and Katara were on hand, then. How long has it all been going on?

Well, Miss Nami was returned on the second, so she's been asleep now for nearly four days. This madness with the thorns, [Well counting everything that's happened up till now...], has been going on the last couple hours.

Nami... I see. It's strange that they'd take time to show up like that. Do you mind if I pop over to take a look?

No, I certainly don't mind. The thorns might be a problem though. We're all well trapped in here and getting in? Will be quite a challenge. They grow back like lightning and twice as thick.

Of the thorns? No, sadly not.
