013 [Voice/Action] Forward dated to the 19/20th

[So on the evening of the nineteenth, a message appears in Law’s journal. He takes one moment and groans. Now? Apparently the Malnosso were feeling generous. For a roughly month’s worth of missions, one right after the other, they in their infinite wisdom decided to give him more than a day’s notice to get his affairs in order.

They gave him a day – and looking at the clock – and seven hours notice. Be in the tunnels and transport at four am sharp on the 21st.

Generous.

So, that night, two filtered messages go out:]

[Filtered TO all medical staff (including Raine Sage, Mia, and Litchi Faye Ling)]

I’ve just received two back to back missions from the Malnosso. I’m leaving early on the twenty first. Unfortunately, they want me for a month, roughly. So I need classes covered and someone to keep on top of everything going on at the clinic until I get back.

[Filtered AWAY from Blackbeard 100%]

Oi, guys. I’ve got a couple missions, and I’m going to be gone away for a while. I need someone to keep an eye on my boat. [Oh, he knows that some people might be opportunistic bastards. We shall be READY for that.] And, I need someone to take care of Sumire for me.

[The next day, aside from being all around the village and at home to prepare for this mission before he leaves to teach class at three sharp, he’s going to be visiting the FMA house, aka House 23 with a small request. HOPEFULLY he’ll get Gracia, but who knows… it might be –ohgodno- Maes.

But the request is simple.

Watch his house while he’s gone, guys.]

Four am on the twenty-first. They decided to be generous, I guess, and gave me a few more hours to prepare. Get my affairs in order. [As he got the message at nine at night.

Sighing.]

I'll be gone for a month, roughly. [Looking to the side.] It's a long time.

[...yes, yes it is. People 'go home' in a month's time. This could be the last chance she'll have to talk with him like this.]

We'll take care of Sumire for you if you think he'll be able to get along with Momo and Hawky.

[And there she goes, volunteering her house for things again without consulting them. Will this aspect ever change? Possibly not.]

She seems to get along with Momo okay, judging from that one night. [The night of the day Bepo went home and he slept on the couch.] Momo is still bigger than her... I really don't think she'll start a fight. Maybe pester him into playing with her.

Hawky... nah. She'll leave him be. [It's a good thing there's no dogs in the house, however. Sumire would playfully poke them.] I don't think those two have anything to worry about from that little lady.

[Katara is more worried about what Hawky will do to Sumire. That is one jealous and crazy bird.]

All right, then if you can't find another place, we'll be happy to take her in while you're gone.

[Given her parentage, maybe Hawky should worry if he decides to mess with her. There's a reason Sparrow's terrified of his little cat. Her mother's influence is strong.

And she might have the inclination to curl up on firebenders who would not appreciate being dive-bombed by a mass of psychotic feathers.]

I'll let you know by tomorrow if I can't find another place to take her.

[And by tomorrow... no... he wasn't able to. He's going to be asking for a pick up of the little miss. He's being run off his feet getting things together for a month's of missions.]
