013 [Voice/Action] Forward dated to the 19/20th
[So on the evening of the nineteenth, a message appears in Law’s journal. He takes one moment and groans. Now? Apparently the Malnosso were feeling generous. For a roughly month’s worth of missions, one right after the other, they in their infinite wisdom decided to give him more than a day’s notice to get his affairs in order.
They gave him a day – and looking at the clock – and seven hours notice. Be in the tunnels and transport at four am sharp on the 21st.
Generous.
So, that night, two filtered messages go out:]
[Filtered TO all medical staff (including Raine Sage, Mia, and Litchi Faye Ling)]
I’ve just received two back to back missions from the Malnosso. I’m leaving early on the twenty first. Unfortunately, they want me for a month, roughly. So I need classes covered and someone to keep on top of everything going on at the clinic until I get back.
[Filtered AWAY from Blackbeard 100%]
Oi, guys. I’ve got a couple missions, and I’m going to be gone away for a while. I need someone to keep an eye on my boat. [Oh, he knows that some people might be opportunistic bastards. We shall be READY for that.] And, I need someone to take care of Sumire for me.
[The next day, aside from being all around the village and at home to prepare for this mission before he leaves to teach class at three sharp, he’s going to be visiting the FMA house, aka House 23 with a small request. HOPEFULLY he’ll get Gracia, but who knows… it might be –ohgodno- Maes.
But the request is simple.
Watch his house while he’s gone, guys.]

[Video] Oops. What are tags. Sorry! OTL
[Actually you do!]
Are you a sailor? [Because he'll definitely keep you in mind for the future.]
Anyway, just thought I'd offer to lend you a hand if you needed it. I'm glad you found someone to keep an eye on her.
... he needs a name. Cheerful:]
Well, I might be looking you up in the future when I get back. A boat's a big job.
My name's Trafalgar Law. You?
It's nice to meet you, I'm Ginji.
[He knows it's a big job. They've got a whole crew back at home to work on these sorts of things.] And feel free. I like to keep busy, but with the Albiore gone, I have more spare time than I know what to do with.
That makes two of us. [Law hates being bored.] In the meantime, there are a few more boats and ships in Luceti. Britannia in particular is looking for people to work on her. You might want to look into it.
And thanks! I'll definitely look into it. By the way, these ships you mentioned...do you know if they were built in Luceti, or did they get here by some other means?
The Shinonome is my boat.
I see. Six ships, huh... [Six ships means there's almost definitely some work that needs to be done.] Are they used for transport or fishing?
And they're all boats... except for The Britannia which is technically only a ship by virtue of having three masts.]
Weeell. Britannia's a sloop-of-war, so technically she's meant for naval defense. Technically. No guns on her at the moment. The rest generally are pleasure craft - although we do use them for fishing if the mood suits. They aren't big enough to haul many goods... and there's really nowhere to haul them to.
[So the Britannia's comparable to a dreadnought and the rest to the Princess Natalia he assumes. Maybe on a smaller scale. But one thing's for sure - these people must really like being on the water.]
There aren't outposts of any kind? From what I could tell, there seems to be a lot of land beyond the village.
The thing is, that while there's plenty of land, it's all locked away from the ocean by the mountain range. No way through unless you're into rock climbing. On the ocean side there's just sand and salt marshes. Nobody lives out there except Jack Sparrow.
So no, there's not. There hasn't been a need yet.
So the village really is the only settlement on this world? I'd heard as much, but even so, it's a bit surprising. [After all Auldrant has all kinds of cities, towns, and even several countries.]
Do you know if there's anything up in the mountains worth looking into? Like ores or...?
[Thinking about that.]
Yeah, there's ores up there. Crystals too. Some ruins in the middle of the range... an old Malnosso lab. It's been pretty picked clean in there. There's really no one here with a mining bent, so most of what can be found up there is untouched.
[Ores mean resources and resources mean building things. If he can get up to the mountains in one piece and find a way to haul it all back anyway.]
...I see. Well then, thanks for the information, Trafalgar! You've been a tremendous help. And good luck on your missions, too.

[Conversation over. Journal close.]
