Appointments 2.0

This post is for threading with Trafalgar Law anytime and anywhere. It can be used for Action or the Ring feature on journals (voice or written) to get in contact with him for personal conversations. This will be used primarily for 'placement' threads such as: someone left a present or 'by the way, come to this party on such-and-such' or the like.

[Law will continue until the ribs are healed or he senses Nala's power is no longer having an effect. Whatever comes first.

Then he places a hand against the bruising around the eye and the process repeats. The doctor doesn't look tired (granted he has reserves to spare).]

There, that should be better.

[It's a remarkable thing having bruised ribs healed in a matter of moments. It's the sort of thing Ginia wishes she had in her life more often.

She flinches slightly when his hand touches her black eye, but it's more out of a dislike of having things anywhere near her eye. She closes her eye as he heals and doesn't open it again until the bruising is gone and her full range of vision restored.

Healing magic. Very impressive. She smiles and nods her approval and thanks.]

I have some chronic pain in my lower back and knees. Think you can do anything about that?

[The comments is a little facetious, but if something can be done, Ginia won't say no.]

... hmm, I can try. Is it because of general wear and tear or are there healed injuries flaring up?

General wear and tear. Also some hearing loss in my left ear.

[Natural causes. Well. Who knows. The shifting works well on injuries but treating the ravages of time isn't a common practice.

It'll be interesting to find out the effectiveness here.]

... I'll give it a shot. No promises. This isn't the sort of thing the magic generally treats.

[Ginia nods. At worst, it does nothing. At best... at best it fixes something, but Ginia doesn't expect that. If anything, it'll be like putting on a hot pack or ice pack.]

If magic doesn't work, is there anything else you can suggest? I already keep a hot water bottle and ice pack on hand and do stretching exercises.

Ibuprofen is what I'd suggest as a first choice drug in pain management and decreasing any contributing inflammation. If you don't respond to that... codeine might be the next step.

[It'd have to be carefully managed though if given out - and Law was always wary when deciding when to prescribe such things. It was in the opioid class, and potentially addictive, especially given how people suffered long term in Luceti.]

Ibuprofen will be fine. I can manage without, but some days get especially bad.

[A known side effect of the life she's lead. That she can still walk, run, and even fight, is something she still appreciates.]

Then I'll make up a prescription for you once we're finished.

[Ginia bobs her head in thanks. Such a nice doctor, certainly better than other ones she's had to seen.

Once more, she'll remain still for Law to finish his examination.]

[Back, knees, left ear. That's the order in which he looks at, appraises the damage, and attempts to apply Nala to improve the function and/or lessen the pain of each area.

And as before, he stops as he feels the power cease to be effective. Now to find out the results.]

Nothing for the ear, knee and back feels a little better, but it seems like it was the magic soothing what might have been stressed during the fight. Thank you for trying though.

[Ah... as he thought. It was a good experiment though.]

You mentioned you had questions earlier?

[She takes the bottle and looks at the amount before putting the bottle in her pocket.]

Understanding this is a sensitive question and that I'll understand if you are unable or unwilling to answer, but have there been any cases of people in Luceti who have passed away from old age or from a terminal disease?

Yes. [Simple.] I've been present for cases like that.

When they come back, any penalties aside, is the disease or are they the present age?

It just seems cruel if someone was to die of a disease only to return and succumb to it again.

... if they die naturally, then they return to the age they were when they were brought to this world. With a Death Penalty.

If it was a terminal illness? Then it depends on the illness. Some are wiped away - others, like those caused by genetic conditions, remain. Which yes, I agree, is very cruel.

[Death by natural causes results in the age being reset to their age when they arrived. Interesting. As is the information on illnesses.]

I've been told I was here awhile ago. Did we know each other?

[It's almost an arrogant question, but it's on her mind. If she had a medical record around or if there was information about her previous stay that would be useful, she wanted to know.]

I won't presume we were friends of any sort, but if there's anything from my previous time I should be aware of, it'd be nice to know. Enemies, friends, medical issues, things along those lines.

Mmm... we didn't know each other well, so I can't tell you much. We worked together - I was only getting to know you when you left.

The enemies that I knew of are gone now. So are most of your friends. I'm aware Helios Sola Sprensonne is still in the village - he's at House 44. If you haven't met him yet, he's the one to seek out. Perhaps Buffy Summers... you tangled with Drusilla from her world, so she might be someone to speak with.

As for medical issues... [Terminal illness now?] there were none except what injuries you picked up from combat. Nothing debilitating.

[He leaves it there... curious if she will prompt him in a certain direction or leave it. However she takes it will be informative.]

[They worked together, maybe at the clinic or something else? But names. Helios, house 44. Buffy Summers, she recognized the name from the guide book. A fight with someone from her world? Directions to go in, it's nice.]

Was I working at the clinic or were we working together elsewhere?

Here. You were helping me out with my students at the time and assisting with a couple of projects. The village's emergency supplies, things like that.
