Appointments 2.0

This post is for threading with Trafalgar Law anytime and anywhere. It can be used for Action or the Ring feature on journals (voice or written) to get in contact with him for personal conversations. This will be used primarily for 'placement' threads such as: someone left a present or 'by the way, come to this party on such-and-such' or the like.

Smart elf. That was the proper option to choose.

"I enjoy riveting fiction. Give me an exciting story, thrilling plot twists, and intriguing characters and I'll be quite content, no matter the genre."

Oh, he'll certainly let him go in one piece. It's not wise not to do that, even though a lesson must be taught. That said, he's being very generous with his penalty and he knows it.

He could do worse and others could certainly do worse. And might not be as smart as him to hold off, and turn could into would and will. What this is in reality is a warning shot across the bow. He hopes the elf appreciates it for what it is.

"Riveting, thrilling, intriguing. Yes, I think I can do that. Find that- I can find that." He had books enough back at the house to pull from and, failing that, there was the entirety of the village library to pull from. Though...

Though.

There was that one. The one he'd come to enjoy and reread quite a bit over the past few days. one he had yet to return for his enjoyment. One with a Spaniard and a princess and a giant.

He wasn't certain he'd be willing to part with it just yet- but it might be enough to make up for this rather large fumble. He's surprised he's getting off so light. And slightly suspicious of it.

"...you're going to kill me when I bring you the books, aren't you."

"You're very fixated on me killing you, aren't you?"

Musing lightly with amusement. Really, what good does killing in this place? Aside from making many irritating enemies that is.

"I'm an assassin. Mistakes often end in death." His or someone else's. Though in this instance, it would likely be his.

"Hngh. So they do, but when I say you need to do more to make me want to kill you, I'm being sincere." Raising a brow. "And you did ask me to spare you."

"So unless you suddenly have better ideas at recompense, or want me to dream up something worse for you, I'd like my books please. As soon as possible."

"Give me...half an hour?" That should be time enough to bundle all he'd collected together in one pack. Getting in and out of the house without being seen would be difficult- especially with the traps he'd laid recently, but he could manage.

Maybe.

"Half an hour. I'll be here."

He's got to go to Sanji's later and drop off some cigarettes (and get a horrible, horrible surprise) but that was later.

Right now he had plenty of time to waste, and lazying around on his boat was an especially good time to waste it.

"I will return before you begin to miss me." With a bob of his head and one last cursory glance to ensure he wouldn't be shot in the back once he left- Zevran vaulted over the side of the ship and took off for the teleporter at a sprint.

It took time.

Not as long as he thought, but just about, anyway.

But before that half hour was up he vaulted back upon the ship, a neatly wrapped bundle of books in hand.

And there's Law, casually leaning still against the main mast. Pocketing a watch he had been glancing at. Eyebrow going up.

"Twenty three minutes. I'm surprised there isn't fire trailing after you."

From how fast he was moving that is.

"A crow prides themselves on prompt service." Zev answers with a grin, offering the wrapped package to Law. He wasn't winded- well. He had been for a moment but had slowed enough to catch it once more.

"Crow, huh?" There's a faint fond air surrounding Law for just a moment as he takes the books. "... I like those birds. Clever."

"Quick, patient, and shrewd as any of their kind ought to be. The Crows I speak of are not quite so...feathered, however." For once he doesn't just blurt it out. Playing it safe- actually.
