[Hello Luceti. You’re greeted by the sound of a journal opening and muttering. And in the far background, rustling. Like something is squirming around in the distance - wrapping, twining, growing.

We might have a problem here.]

Is there anyone in the village with extensive knowledge of fairy tales? We have a situation on our hands we could use some advice dealing with. [Or maybe even a rescue, but Law’s pride keeps him from saying that much - for now.]

Thorns. [Katara’s voice piped in.] Lots and lots of thorns. They’re growing and overtaking the house, and we’re not sure why.

We think they’re connected to a kidnapping effect. The lady affected has been in an unnaturally deep sleep for days and nothing seems to wake her. [Nothing. Not even beer bottles perched on her head. 8|a ] Has anyone heard of anything like this?

((This is an open post that can be fielded by anybody trapped in the house. Threadjack to your hearts’ content - Law’s journal is made to be snatched from him and anyone else who has it.))

[Maybe offering a straight swords duel would help. Sea knows how frustrating it is only having holographic opponents in this place. But considering this is the guy whose primary, secondary, and tertiary obsessions are swords, Law would like to try something else before resorting to that.

It would be bloody. On Law's end. And while getting maimed once in a while is just part and package of the whole swordsman deal, the ninja in his life would object.]

We'll have to be persuasive then.

[Maybe booze and a duel. Who knows how much they'll need to bribe him to do it. Just don't die, Law.]

[Law can slice to pieces an entire garrison of Marines before they can react, so vines, typically? Shouldn't even be an issue.

But these suckers grow like lightning themselves, and just get thicker and thicker the more they are sliced. But there is a path made. For now.

Move fast, Richard. The way in isn't staying open for long.]

[That's enough for Richard-- he'll race into that narrow path, using his rapier to hack at any vines that get too close and threaten to entangle him as he runs through.

Years of fencing training are certainly serving him well right about now.]

G-Given the limited options...I-I suppose that's the only thing to be done. [ He hopes it works, and it should, given the nature of the stories. ]

[That's right, house six. Guy grabs his katana -he'd wasted no time getting that, remembering the darker times Luceti flaunts- and jogs over.

-wow. That's uh, that's a lot of vines. Guy had been thinking a few brambles, not- Well okay, it's time to do something about this shit. He slips the sword from its sheath and approaches the tangle of thorns.]

[The whole tangled mess trembles, and then the thorny vines start to move, curling away from Guy as he approaches. It's almost like they're afraid of him. Either that, or they're...

...creating a narrow path for him, all the way to the front door.]

Miyabi. [She nods her head in greeting, moving on.]

That's quite a bit of time... Ehe, I'm sorry, but I'm afraid I haven't heard much about you. Are you a pirate like they are? [She knows he runs the clinic at the battle dome from reading her journal, but not much else about the man at all.]

[A few thorns clip him in the side and draw blood, but Law doesn't terribly care. Not deep wounds, those, and not terribly concerning.

He'll keep the thorns at bay until Richard gets in. And then he makes a break for the door, earning a few more scrapes along his left leg, and slams it shut in face of the onrushing masses.]

[And Law will lead Richard to Nami.]

[Which opens slightly to let Guy in. Hello. Meet Law, unsheathed nodachi in one hand. And looking a little mystified (also: bleeding).

If we approach it right, we might be able to pull it off. But yes, I think we can eventually convince him.

That would take a lot of maneuvering. And it would make the situation even worse if she didn't wake up. Or we missed.

Good point. I think either way, things are going to get... bad.
