[In light of recent developements... namely Mister Strawhat declaring war more or less on Yuber and Nu, the normal routine has been shaken up slightly.
He's up on the roof of CH2 for his morning warmup longer than usual... just concentrating on movement and manipulation of filial magic. The tenseness just doesn't leave... nor does the feeling of restlessness. Anyone coming to the roof will likely catch him there until a nagging sense of time compels him downstairs to make breakfast.
Breakfast and a meeting of sorts. Though it's entirely unsuprising to him this has happened (and would be to Bepo, as he informed him of what occured on the draft), still this is something that has to be discussed. He begins frying up steak and eggs, and puts the coffee on.
Today, like so many days, he's going to be living on it.
Then he sharpens his sword, and heads out to town to gauge the mood and learn what can be learned. Just hanging around, watching. For those of you who know he was in charge of the Medical center during the draft (and therefore probably knows something about what went on), feel free to bug him for details about the circumstances that lead to Nu being pummeled into the fountain. He will likely not give many, but, who knows?
Depending on who you are, you may end up with a better grasp on the events that led up to this.]

[Which means he slept, but it wasn't really quality sleep, and he kept waking up at odd hours of the morning. Normal.]
You see the entry in the journals yesterday? [If you did, there is absolutely no question about what he's talking about. If you didn't, he'll need to clarify.]
no subject
Yeah, I saw that.
no subject
What do you think about that?
[You know the implications as well as he.]
no subject
There'll be a minute of silence before speaking up a little quietly on his part, but nothing longer. He knows the basic story here, and he's not a complicated guy himself. Implications and all. ]
... he wasn't wrong.
[ Just about any pirate would have done the same thing in that situation- it's pride and nakama and practically the only acceptable way of handling that kind of thing back on the Grand Line. It's not the cleanest course of action, but doing nothing can feel so much worse- even if it means trouble later on. ]

[Any Captain would have done the same thing. He would have done the same thing.]
It's going to get worse before it gets better. Yuber may not go after Strawhat himself. If he's smart and truly wants to hurt him, he won't.
... he'll go after his friends.
no subject
That could also mean a lot of trouble. ]
no subject
... and if Strawhat's other enemies, like Blackbeard for instance, are smart, they'll use this opportunity to capitalize on any weakness that crew shows.
[Sit back and watch the fireworks, Teach? Really?]
They might be seeing attacks or some other sort of retalition from other quarters, regardless... especially if things get ugly. Not everyone is thrilled about what transpired.
no subject
It almost begs the question. ]
And what would we do then? [ There are no conflicts of loyalty for Bepo in this. If Captain says stay out, he'll very likely stay out guilt-free. If Captain says they're on standby to assist if necessary, he'll keep his eyes peeled. ]
no subject
If they ask however, we give it within reason.
The thing is we are involved on the periphery. I did kill Yuber's creature, and Katara and I did save Miss Nami's life. There is the slight chance we might be drawn into this regardless. So, depending on how this develops, we need to keep our eyes open. We may need to intervene regardless if this has the chance to get so ugly it affects us regardless of what we do. Things change, after all. I'm setting nothing in stone at this point.
That's Strawhat and his crew. As for anyone else that might be dragged into this, we use our best judgement. A friend, like Katara, we help. Others...
[Best judgement. They don't want to be drawn into something like this senselessly]

Aye, Captain. [ He'll be on the lookout and on his best behavior. ]

[Sipping coffee for the moment, before loading the steaks and eggs on his plate.
Mmm... those steaks are nice and bloody rare. Just the way he likes them.
Don't look now, Bepo, but he might actually be getting pretty decent at this.]
How's the food tasting?

.... give him a second. He's digging in. Omnomnom...] Maybe I'll start trying more complicated things now. Maybe like Eggs Blackstone or something.
[Because that is unbelievably good.]
no subject
I think you could do it. [ Not that he's biased and fully believes you can do anything. ]
no subject
...
[Glancing at what's left of your breakfast] Ready for seconds?

[Glancing at the fridge] We'll have to go grocery shopping in a couple of days. Is there anything we should be looking out for?
no subject
He gives the question all due consideration, too, as the Captain merits his best thinking process and all. That said, venturing from the pre-established list of what they usually seek out while grocery-shopping is not a Bepo style. ]
I don't think so. [ He still hasn't managed to find a female bear to gift shop for, after all. ]
